Renewable Energy Strategy of Türkiye
The Royal Danish Consulate General in Istanbul, Energy and Environment Team has published a new market report: Renewable Energy Strategy of Türkiye 2024 focusing on Turkish zero emission plan and its roadmap.

Türkiye has presented a comprehensive 2035 renewable energy strategy with ambitions to reach an installed capacity of 120,000 megawatts (MW) from wind and solar energy. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, led by the Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, has presented a detailed plan involving an annual allocation of 2,000 MW through competitive bidding in both wind (RES) and solar (GES). The strategy is part of the country’s efforts to reduce dependence on foreign energy sources, achieve net zero emissions by 2053 and ensure security of supply.
